Game Rules and Regulations - For Players

General rules

The language used in the main town, which is Amatsu, must always be English.
Using someone else's name with the sole intention to impersonate them will not be tolerated. This includes the names of the GM Team, the use of "GM" in a character name and guild names.
Please do not request events. The GM team are here on a purely voluntary basis, and may not have the time to do so.
Multi-clienting is prohibited on Blackout RO, however, this excludes multiple computers from the same IP address (for example: an internet shop/cafe, or a household with more than one computer).

Account rules

Trading accounts/items for real money or items on another game is strictly prohibited. Any person found engaging in such activities will be permanently banned without appeal.
Account sharing is entirely at the account owner's risk. If your account is compromised in any way as a result of account sharing, the GM Team reserve the right to refuse support.
If a player's account is compromised due to other methods, such as keylogging (typically a program claiming to offer administrative access, or free items) or forged e-mail claiming to be the GM Team, the GM Team will recover the account, and permanently ban the person(s) responsible. However, the GM Team is not responsible for any items or zeny that are lost, nor will any reimbursement occur.

Harassment

Harassing behaviour targeted towards an individual or group of people will not be tolerated.
Such behaviour includes, but is not limited to:

• Sexual harassment
• Derogatory comments or remarks (sometimes referred to as "trash-talking")
• Spreading rumours that may not necessarily be true.

If you find yourself being harassed, politely ask them to stop before requesting assistance from the GM Team. If none of the GM Team are online (via the @request command), please take screenshots as evidence, and file a ticket in the ticket system, which can be found in the Blackout forum.

Kill stealing

Kill stealing, where someone attacks a monster that is already bein attacked by another player is generally prohibited, but there are exceptions to this:

• MVPs that are NOT in the MVP arena are exempt from the Kill stealing rule.
• Mini-bosses are not considered MVPs, and are subject to the kill stealing rule.

If you are being subjected to kill stealing, politely ask them to stop, before requesting assistance from the GM Team. Screenshots and video footage would be helpful should the person refuse to stop.

Scamming

Misleading someone while trading is generally classed as scamming, and is not tolerated in any way. Common methods include:

• Vending non-slotted items as slotted, and pricing them as such. Claiming it was a mistake is not an excuse.
• Continually cancelling a trade, then changing the agreed item(s) for something else.
• Faking the message in the general chat window

While the person who commited the offense will be punished, the GM Team are not responsible for the items lost in the trade. Also, simply lending items to someone, and not receiving them back after a length of time, is NOT classed as scamming, and the GM Team will not assist in such cases.

Botting & Macros

Bots and Macros are programs or scripts that automate the process of playing the game. Such programs/scripts are strictly forbidden on Blackout RO, and anyone found using them will be permanently banned without appeal.

War of Emperium rules

Changing your guild emblem while participating in War of Emperium is strictly prohibited, as is disabling the emblem completely, since it will cause confusion to others taking part.
Anyone caught doing so, will result in their guild being disbanded, and the Guild Master will be served a temporary account ban.

IRC

IRC is a chat system that can be accessed via the !chat command in-game. Like the server, there are rules that must be adhered to:

• You must speak English
• No buying, selling or trading.
• No guild recruiting
• No spamming messages
• No harassing behaviour ("trash-talking") towards an individual or guild
• Do not ask for GM's on IRC, use the @request command in-game
